How sad is this? I've been in Japan for a month now and have only taken my camera out once. Even worse, I'm not even posting photos of Japan but from our trip to Hong Kong at the new year! So pathetic. However, I was shown this really cool filter plug-in filter on my favorite digital site (DST) and Hong Kong was the first thing that came to mind. OK, that and my photo of the Buddha from Kamakura. Maybe I should go play with that one first . . .OK, that was really cool. The actions here are from Topaz Adjust.
These first ones are from Hong Kong. Although we had an amazing time on the trip, it was more kid focused so we didn't get the night shots I would have loved to have gotten. Guess we'll just have to go back. DH quickly took this one as we were trying to find our way to the subway.
Here it is with the dramatic and psychedelic filters:
Here is a picture of the big Buddha at Kamakura that I took a couple weeks ago. With fall approaching we really need to go back and catch it in the fall colors. I am just so amazed that we are back in Japan and now have to opportunity to even take photos of it in the different seasons. First the orginial, then the dramatic.
These were all done with just a click of the button too but then you have control to make adjustments as you please. I think this is a keeper! I've been a huge fan of the HDR photography, but with this move, haven't been able to play. Now that I have my CS3 uploaded, I can't wait to do more with it. But, I think this isn't a bad substitution in the mean time.
